As the face and co-owner of Rocksalt restaurant & bar and The Smokehouse fish and chip shop in Folkestone, Kent, Mark Sargeant is an avid comic book fan.

In developing the branding and collateral for both the establishments, the team at Pebble Shores wanted to give Mark and his partner Josh something to remember the build up to the launch with…so we turned them into superheroes. As the characters ‘Bucket’ and ‘Spade’ (the name of the holding company for both eateries) we created a four-page comic telling the story (firmly tongue in cheek) from concept to development with observations and humour very much a key feature.

To this end, we commissioned the talents of Gaz Roberts, the highly talented local artist and cartoonist; the net result was nothing short of excellent and received with utter delight by the chaps. To view a case study of this, please click here.
