We help Hilton staff to 'Live the Grand Prix Experience!'

When Hilton Hotels needed a campaign for 25,000 staff in 154 hotels throughout the UK and Europe as well as some 500 in their Watford head office, they turned to Pebble Shores.

With the F1 season in full swing, Hilton Hotels wanted to use their sponsorship of the McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 team. Using a grand prix pit crew as a theme, team members were invited to team up in groups of three and prove how they supported the Hilton brand engine, in the same way that the pit crew supports the F1 car and keeps it running. The idea was to create a video, a presentation or write a story, with the winning trio securing fantastic all-expenses paid trips to the 2010 Iltalian Grand Prix at Monza.

From concept to delivery, Pebble Shores managed the entire process. For the hotels, we created an interactive mailing pack consisting of high quality branded lanyards and mini brochures that directed the recipients to a dedicated website (also designed by Pebble Shores). For the head office, we organised a giant eight-lane Scalextric track complete with branded cars in an exciting elimination contest over two days.

The result was highly successful for Hilton: there were many creative submissions from across the estate and extremely positive feedback. The head office Scalextric challenge brought out everyone’s competitive streak with hard-fought races and split seconds separating the top places.
